|We began our initiative with financial contribution received from Caritas Germany (www.caritas.de). With their contribution, we have been able to lay the foundation for a pro poor involvement, focussing mainly on ‘education of children’ and ‘empowerment of women’. Though Caritas Germany has since stopped supporting us, we have continued our work over the years…
The continuation of our work is made possible because of support we receive from:
1.Aktionsgruppe Kinder in not E.V., Windhagen (www.kinder-in-not.de). Five of our major initiatives at present are fully supported by them, viz. Kinder Care Home and School (Tanuku), Kinder Care Special School, Respite Home for Children with Disabilities, Physiotherapy Centre (all in Palamaner) and two tribal study centres. Moreover, they have also made substantial contributions towards ‘the educational assistance programme’, ‘single women income generation programme’ and ‘the vocational training of young adults with disabilities’.
2.OBC Service Gmbh, Frankfurt (www.obc-service.de). OBC provides ‘educational assistance’ to 150 children and contributed substantially towards ‘the vocational centre for young adults with disabilities’.
3.Stichting Mensen Uit De Nood (SMUDN), Heythuysen: SMUDN provides ‘educational assistance’ to 270 children; support the running of four study centres and two pre schools. They have also financed the construction of four study centres.
4.Stichting Support CSA Trust, Ermelo: Supports four study centre and pre school in GT Palli village catering to about 210 children from two villages. They also provide educational assistance to 85 children.
